LWVAC's new Gun Violence Prevention & Safety Committee will meet by Zoom on the third Tuesday of each month. We are brainstorming what we can do to augment the efforts of the other community partners are doing to prevent gun violence and promote gun safety.

Please join us for a presentation on Medicare with Dr. Ed Weisbart, M.D., National Board Secretary of Physicians for a National Health Program. This event will be available in-person and via Zoom. In-person attendees will have access to several counselors and staff of local SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) to help answer participants’ questions.

Join Yes on 4 and LWV in Gainesville for our Get Out the Vote Canvass as we go door-to-door to end Florida’s extreme abortion ban! We will be going door to door in Gainesville to talk to voters about supporting Amendment 4 and inviting them to vote at their assigned polling location.. Multiple shifts are available. No experience is necessary and our team will be providing you with training and materials during the event.
